ALLEPPEY |
Operation
at Alleppey from 1948 till 1968, we have been a major operator at
the port. Primarily a lighterage operation, cargo throughputs comparable
to mechanised modes of today, have been achieved using country crafts,
barges. Cargo handled included mainly coir yarn, coir mattings, spices
and coir fibre. Vessels would range upto a maximum of 10,000 M/Tons. |
BEYPORE |
Operation
from 1950 till 1985, we have been a major operator at the port. Lighterage
operations were used to achieve fantastic throughputs in handling
bagged cargo, timber, steel and other cargo. Vessels would range upto
a maximum of 10,000 M/Tons. |
CALICUT |
Operating
from the piers using barges and country crafts, similar to the operation
carried out at Alleppey Port. |
COCHIN
PORT |
Starting from 1963 to the present, we have been carrying out different
types of operations involving various types of cargo. We have evolved
and adapted to the changing scenario in cargo handling globally. We
have handled among other cargoes, coal in bulk, sugar, cement in break-bulk
and different types of containerised cargo. Over the years we have
gained experience in handling bulk vessels of 30,000 M.tons; break-bulk
of 25,000 M.tons. Containerised operations include loading/discharge
from ships, stuffing and destuffing containers and terminal operations.
We have operated on container vessels of around 800 TEUs. |
KOLLACHAL |
Primarily for the Indian Rare Earths for the export of their bulk
cargo. |
QUILON |
As the Port did not have their own infrastructure, we provided the
complete infrastructure for the running of the Port. We used our own
floating piers, barges and country crafts for the operations involved
in the export of cashew and imports of raw nuts. Vessels handled went
upto 10,000 M.Tons. |
